Dear family & friends,
Happy holidays! Here’s a quick recap of 2023 from the four of us (+ Chippy).

Navin is enjoying his junior year at UCSB. He challenged himself with 3 statistics classes last quarter, while having fun with intramural basketball and soccer. He’s looking for a data science summer internship. Let us know if you have any leads for Navin! 😉

Niles graduated early from Tufts, and was able to travel in Southeast Asia in the spring. He started a new job in August as a trading operations specialist at IMC in Chicago, and was lucky enough to have his new-hire training in Sydney with his cohort. Recently Niles signed up for Chicago Marathon, his first one, and has started training for it. 

Kammy was humbled by her experience of working closely with the awesome Canopy team during her stint as interim executive director. For a few months, she got to appreciate the daily joy and challenges of running a small but mighty community-based environmental nonprofit. She’s grateful for all the wonderful support and for the personal growth opportunity.

Kowsik continues to pursue his passion for running beautiful nature trails and learning foreign languages while enjoying volunteering, traveling and technology advising. He ran Boston and Sydney Marathons and is looking forward to pacing Niles at the Chicago Marathon in October 2024.

Kowsik and Kammy were fortunate to have the chance to visit a few of the most beautiful places on our little blue planet this year. Costa Rica’s Monte Verde cloud forest and the chic surf town Nosara were both spectacular. In the fall we had an amazing trip to Australia, China and India; hiking in the Daintree Rainforest (the oldest in the world!), scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef, and spending time with both sets of parents were some of the highlights.
